2014 BMW M3 spied on the Nurburgring

by SpeedLux

The 2014 BMW M3 has been spied recently while it was undergoing some testing on the Nürburgring.

Despite being heavily camouflaged, the model could be seen with features such as an aggressive front bumper, revised side skirts, a four-tailpipe exhaust system, ventilated front fenders, aerodynamic door mirrors and a trunk-mounted spoiler.

The 2014 BMW M3 looks fairly conventional but is expected to use light weight material in the form of a carbon fiber trunk, hood and roof. This could enable the model to weigh lighter by 100 kg (220 lbs) as compared to its predecessor.

The model will reportedly come fitted with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that would generate approximately 450 hp (335 kW) and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque. This would help the car to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 4.2 seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 250 kmph (155 mph).
