When it comes to revealing a new model or a new or latest updated look of an existing model, the companies are generally very cautious and ensure that accidental leaks do not happen. But this time General Motors accidentally leaked the image of Cadillac CTS with the release of ELR winter chassis testing video by Cadillac.

Cadillac CTS is expected to be on GM’s new Alpha platform instead of existing Sigma platform. The engines will vary depending upon the version of the model with the base model having a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 270 hp generation capacity to the highest model with 3.6 liter V6 engine. CTS-V version may have 6.2 liter V8 engine with output generation capacity of upto 556 hp.

The upcoming CTS is expected to be launched somewhere in 2013 with the production expected to commence in late 2013 at Lansing Grand River Assembly plant.
