2014 Hyundai i10 introduced in Frankfurt

by SpeedLux

Hyundai has unveiled the 2014 i10 at the ongoing edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The 2014 redesigned model looks instantly recognizable but comes with a fluidic sculpture design with a stylish front fascia that incorporates sweptback headlights and a prominent air intake. The hatchback also has a sloping roofline, an upward sweeping greenhouse and 13- to 15-inch wheels. Talking about its dimensions, as compared to its predecessor, the model is 80mm longer, 65mm wider, 40mm lower while the wheelbase has been extended by 5mm to 2385mm now.

The company has made quite a bit of changes in the interiors as a result of which the model now comes with higher quality materials and an improved design. The entry-level models are sparsely equipped but the higher-end variants can be ordered with power windows / locks, automatic climate control and heated front seats. Regardless of the trim ordered, the boot can hold up to 1046 liters (36.9 cubic feet) of luggage when the rear seats are folded down.

The model would be offered with a choice of three engines which will generate output in the range of 66 HP (48 kW) and 87 HP (64 kW). Depending on the engine selected, it can be paired to a five-speed manual or a four-speed auto transmission.
