2014 Peugeot 308 seen in Slovenia

by SpeedLux

Recently several images of the 2014 Peugeot 308 have surfaced on the net.

This batch of 308 models was photographed in Ljubljana in Slovenia in the parking lot of a promotion agency which is currently shooting a new clip with this model. Depending on model, the new generation is lighter by up to 308 lbs (140 kg) as compared to its predecessor and emits just 85 g/km in the most frugal variant. The new model rides on PSA’s new EMP2 platform and is lower and shorter than the old model and provides 470 liters of cargo room.

Talking about the exteriors, the 2014 Peugeot 308 takes cues from the 208 with a bit of flavor of the Volkswagen Golf VII, while the interior cabin is pretty similar to the 208 with features such as tall center console featuring a 9.7-inch touchscreen display, the steering wheel and head-up instrument cluster.

The model is scheduled to make its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show to be held in September. The model would be going on sale shortly after that, with production to be done in plant at Sochaux in France.
