Everyone’s favorite punching bag of a city car is coming back with an all-new version slated for the market in 2014, It is expected to debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

With the partnership between Renault and Daimler, it has already started bearing its fruit, the all new 2014’s Smart Fortwo, and we should appreciate the fact that Daimler is working hard to give us the Next Generation Micro car!

Spy shots have leaked over the net, which has given relief to the much anticipated wait for the micro car!, while the shots reveal that the car was spotted from a distance,the prototype has body of Twingo’s, which has dramatically been shortened.
Some changes to the styling for the 2014 model include new headlights and taillights, whereas Fortwo’s slide blade has been shoved off, while the grille appears to have been changed as well.

The agreement signed off between Daimler,Renault, And Nissan have resulted in what we know about the new Micro car, the agreement includes a new platform – known as Project Edison – that will placed under three models: Smart ForTwo, the next ForFour, and the Renault Twingo. Nissan is also expected to develop a new city car featuring a rear-wheel-drive system.
Also Out of the agreement will result a new Renault city car, rumored to be called the Izzy.

As for the engine line-up, expect both petrol and diesel engines, with a new 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol power plant developed especially for this project.

The new generation Smart ForTwo is set to go on sale in 2014, and there are some rumors that the car will make a debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
