2014 Volkswagen Golf Plus spied up close

by SpeedLux

The 2014 Volkswagen Golf Plus has been spied yet again while undergoing testing in Germany and this time it is pretty close.

Designed mainly with the intention of accommodating the growing families, the hatchback will be heavily based on the Golf VII and is expected to be significantly larger than its predecessor. There is no official confirmation about the dimensions of the model but the model could be 5cm longer, 15cm taller and ride on a wheelbase that has been stretched by approximately 6cm.

Irrespective of the final dimensions of the model, the Golf Plus is expected to be offered with a variety of familiar engines. Possible engine varieties that could form part of the model are:

• A 1.2-liter TSI engine with outputs of 85 HP (63 kW) and 105 HP (77 kW)
• A 1.4-liter TSI engine with outputs of 122 HP (90 kW) and 140 HP (103 kW)
• A 1.6-liter TDI engine that can produce 105 PS (77 kW)
• A 2.0-liter TDI engine that would generate 150 PS (110 kW)

As of now the details are limited about the model but very soon the details would be revealed by the company and we would surely let you know about the same.
