2017 Audi A6 to Sport Prologue Style

by SpeedLux

For years, the Audi A6 has always been one of the best luxury sedans money can buy. With that being said, there are dozens of reasons fans are looking forward to the next generation model of the car. Well, it seems that fans will not have to wait for too long now as there has been some information available via the World Wide Web.

As reported by the Autocar, quoting Marc Lichte, the main person in charge of design at Audi, the design process of the 2017 Audi A6 has now been completed. According to Lichte, the upcoming Audi A6 sedan will retain a large number of visual styling cues from the Prologue concept. The latter was a concept vehicle which the luxury German automaker introduced during last year’s automotive exhibition event in Los Angeles. In addition to that, Lichte has even made it official that the car has been designed side by side with the 2016 model year Audi A8 as well as the 2017 Audi A7. This is definitely good news for Audi fans. Besides, Lichte also points out that this helps the company make sure each of the three vehicle models mentioned just now will be highly distinctive towards one another.

Another thing that has been unveiled in respect to the 2017 Audi A6 will take advantage of the MLB Evo platform that comes from the Volkswagen Group. Before this, the platform was also used as the base of several vehicle models, such as the new Audi Q7. Using this new platform, it is more than likely that the new Audi A6 sedan will come with a lighter body weight when compared to its predecessor. However, it may feature engine configuration similar to that of its bigger brother, the Audi Q7. For more information on the new A6, there is still some waiting to deal with.
