An accident has led to the shutdown of 400 South at 700 East in both directions in Salt Lake City.

Reports of at least four cars are involved in the Sunday crash, which took place at approximately 11:47 a.m.

Salt Lake City Police said there were tows called for three of the automobiles. Those involved sustained only small injuries. Police are looking into an allegation that a car ran a red light and hit a truck causing it to spin.

Use an alternative route and avoid the area as clean-up and tow trucks remove the wreckage. UTA Trax would be experiencing disruption as well.
