5 injured after car crashes into 2nd floor of Kent apartment

Some people were injured after a car lost control and crashed into the second floor of an apartment building at 8700 South 259th Street in Kent, Washington on Sunday. 

Puget Sound Fire tweeted about the car crash before 3 a.m. Sunday. 

Officials said six people and two dogs were inside the vehicle when it crashed.

Three people from the car had serious injuries. Two others were hospitalized but their injuries were not serious. A sixth person was not injured.

One of the dogs died and another dog was missing, but a neighbor later discovered the dog. 

There were no other casualties related to this incident.

It is not clear what caused the car to lose control and leave the roadway.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
