It is the way Vaughn Gittin Jr. is able to steer Ford Mustangs in a sideways that sets him apart. In fact, its no surprise he is at the top of the pack in points race in the 2010 Formula Drift season. And after all this, he has the time for his other passion, to launch his own car brand – RTR which he has been into over the last year. The first time that we got to see his creation was during SEMA held last year where the RTR-C Mustang made its debut.
Of course the Maryland native is not one to be satisfied with just the RTR-C and is busy preparing something that would be even more of a dramatic predecessor to last year’s RTR. He has got Team Need for Speed to help him do that and the drifter/car builder is all set to bring forth at the 2010 edition of SEMA a new Mustang that has been named the RTR-X.
The RTR-X is built on the 1969 Mustang and makes use of a Dynacorn replacement body shell. Powering the RTR-X will be a 5.0-liter V8 engine that currently does duty in the 2011 Mustang GT and will also borrow the one-off sub-frame from Art Morrison. You can be at SpeedHunters to track the progress of the making of the car as it gets ready to enthrall consumers in the SEMA to be held in November. You also get the chance to cast your vote on the car’s livery if you so wish.
