A speeding Queens teen was killed after colliding his Ford Mustang into two trees, in a collision so violent that the sports car split in half, police said.
Dylan Moreno, 16, was zooming down 80th Ave. near 265th St. in Glen Oaks — just seven blocks from his home — when he lost control of his vehicle around 2:50 p.m. Thursday.
The Ford Mustang spun out of control, bouncing off a tree along the side of the road before crashing another tree near the corner, according to the police.
The vehicle split in half following the second crash, with the two halves landing at separate points at the intersection.
Moreno was thrown from the mangled muscle car. Medics discovered him sprawled out on the ground with a huge head injury.
He was rushed to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and later he was pronounced dead in the hospital.
Police on Friday were still investigating why Moreno lost control of the car.
