Three people were killed in Brookhaven on Thursday evening after a car, which had been reported stolen earlier in the week.

The victims have been identified as Justin Harris, 18, of Coram, Zyyel Thomas, 15, and Javon Green, 17, both of Mastic Beach.

The single-car crash took place when Harris was driving a 2019 Chrysler 300 west on Montauk Highway just before 8 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a utility pole just south of Carman Boulevard.

Harris and Thomas were pronounced dead at the scene.

Green was admitted to Long Island Community Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The vehicle was reported stolen on September 5 from Yaphank. It was impounded.
