Two killed after car crash in Henry County, Illinois

Two people were killed in a car crash on Sunday afternoon in Henry County, Illinois.

The crash took place around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at 880N and Illinois Highway 78.

A passenger car driven by a 17-year-old female crossed the centerline, hitting a northbound motorcycle driven by Garry Kelly, 42. Leah Kelly, also 42, was the passenger on the motorcycle.

The car then hit a northbound SUV driven by an individual identified as Jonathon Hawk, 45. In the SUV there were others including a 41-year-old Melissa Clark and five children aged between one-month-old to 13-years-old.

Garry and Leah Kelly were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

Occupants from the other two vehicles were admitted to the hospitals.
