Two people died after a car crash took place about 6 p.m., on Monday, on Sodus Parkway, west of Watson Road, in Berrien County’s Sodus Township.

A 2015 Toyota Corolla was westbound on Sodus Parkway. It lost control on the wet roadway and crossed the center lane into the eastbound lanes. The Toyota Corolla was then hit on the passenger side by a 2018 Subaru Outback which was traveling east on Sodus Parkway.

The driver of the Toyota, a 42-year-old Niles man, and the front seat passenger, a 13-year-old, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger of the Toyota, an 8-year-old, was taken to Lakeland hospital with serious injuries.

The three occupants of the Subaru were all taken to Lakeland hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Michigan State Police is investigating the crash.
