Two dead after car crash in Forsyth County

Two women were killed following a head-on car crash in north Forsyth County, Georgia on Tuesday.

It was around 8:25 a.m. when officials responded to a head-on crash between a 2003 Honda Accord and a 2013 Hyundai Elantra.

The driver of the Honda, a 36-year-old identified as Jessica James, of Dawsonville was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger in the Hyundai, a 38-year-old identified as Sarah Decoteau, of Dawsonville, was died after being transported by Life Flight to hospital. 

The driver of the Hyundai was going through “serious, but non-life-threatening injuries” and a 14-year-old passenger in the Honda was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Two victims of this crash were not using their seatbelts and the two survivors were.

The crash is under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
