At least six people were killed and 12 others were injured on Monday after a four-vehicle pileup in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.
The accident took place on early Monday morning on highway BR-290, in the municipality of Rio Pardo.
The accident saw a car, a van, a bus, and a truck carrying logs, according to the Federal Highway Police.
The police stated that the bus and the van were shifting soldiers from the Army’s 9th Armored Cavalry Regiment to their barracks.
The stretch of the road where the accident took place was shut for nearly eight hours while the logs that spilt were removed.
