Two people are dead following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Hankcock County on early Thursday.

The officials were notified of the crash after 5 am when a car went off the roadway and into the median, hitting a tree.

The crash took place in the westbound lane at mile marker 7, between the exits for Bay St. Louis and Stennis Space Center.

Two people were killed.

Their identities haven’t been released yet by Mississippi Highway Patrol.

Traffic is moving in that area but it would be slow until officials clear the scene.
