Two people were killed standing outside next to their vehicle on I-95 in Florida on Sunday.
The victims, including a 9-year-old, had stopped on the right northbound emergency shoulder.
They were standing next to the vehicle another car traveled to the right and entered the emergency lane. The right side of this car with the victim’s vehicle, simultaneously crashing with the victims.
They were admitted to the hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
The driver of the car that crashed with their vehicle had no injuries.
Northbound lanes just south of the Pecan Park Road exit were closed as Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
