Wildwood rally crash

Two pedestrians were killed and two others were injured during an unsanctioned car rally that took place in Wildwood, New Jersey on Saturday night.

One person has been charged and was arrested in connection with the deadly crash.

The crashing car was at standing stop before it took off and struck at least one vehicle and pedestrians.

A second crash involved a golf cart with injuries, but more details were unavailable.

Videos posted on social media show people hanging out of cars as drivers spin in circles surrounded by a large crowd in the city.

City officials knew the unsanctioned event was coming to town, and had issued an advisory days ago.

Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the incident.
