Mercedes Benz has registered a growth of 16 percent sales in the current year as against the sale figures for the same period last year. With plans to make more hay while the sun shines, they are planning to further the growth process with some more new models or upgrading of previous models. Sixteen new or upgraded models at expected this year and next.

The new launches would include the Smart Fortwo Electric Drive, the B-Class F-Cell and the A-Class E-Cell all of which are models with alternative drives. This would make for zero emission in these cars.

Before the launch of cars with alternative drive, Mercedes Benz would launch the V6 and V8 power plants which are new generation engines. The engines consume about 24 percent less of fuel by utilizing techniques of direct injection and turbocharging. These engines have been dubbed as BlueDirect due to this feature. European launch of these engines would commence in fall with no dates set for a US launch as yet.

Not only is it with new generation by engine technology that Mercedes is planning to attract or increase customer and sales, they are also launching on a massive advertising campaign. The slogan “the best or nothing” has been coined by the company as the belief of their founder father Gottlieb Daimler. Now we would get to see the campaign spreading on the print and digital media.
