Mercedes-Benz announces record sales in June

Mercedes-Benz has announced they have achieved record-breaking sale for the month of June. The company attributes it to the ever growing demand for its most expensive models. Daimler’s luxury car brand anticipates the marque to post a significant increase in the current quarter.

The head of sales and marketing Joachim Schmidt, in a press meet last Monday, announced that the month of June was the eighth month in a row that the luxury car maker witnessed a boost in sales by a double-digit percentage mark. He further added that the company is now in “an excellent position” to do even better in the forthcoming months. The company is prepared to proceed with its plans to succeed and to continue with a considerable increase in the third quarter.

The E-Class and S-Class editions are the main earning drivers of Mercedes Benz. Both the editions principally have boosted the sales volumes of the Mercedes brand by 13.2%. The absolute figures account for an all-time high of 113,300 units for June. The car maker is expecting a double-digit volume hits in several markets, such as Japan and the US.

The Japan and US markets primarily account sales hike exceeding 20%. However China stills leads the sales growth as it has nearly tripled its volume. In the mean time, however, the sales for Daimler’s ‘Smart for Two’ miniature two-seater has dropped. This concept of “Smart for Two” was designed for more than a decade ago by Swatch founder Nicolas Hayek who incidentally has only recently died.
