As a mark for celebrating its 75th anniversary, limited edition of the XKR 75 is going to be developed by Jaguar, which made its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
This car has a modified suspension system, has advanced aerodynamic features and of course a revised engine. Not a very extensive modification though has been given to the car. The new aspects of the car are its side skirts, rear diffuser, a new front air and rear diffuser as also a large spoiler. The same features were found on the XKR Speed pack as an optional package.
The modifications incorporated gives added stability to the car at higher speeds by producing more down force. The top speed of the car has gone up from 155 to 174 mph. Providing the power boost to the car is the supercharged 5.0 liter V8 engine fitted on the XKR. The engine delivers 510 hp and 460 lb ft of torque. The acceleration of the car stands at 4.6 seconds for racing up from 0 to 60 mph. There is some more tailor made additions to the interior and exterior. The exterior has an ultimate black paint job done along with Kasuga wheels of 20 inch size. Red brake calipers make up the total of the interior.
The door sills have the marking “XKR175– 1 of 175” as well as the vehicles production number. There is Warm charcoal leather and has contrasting cranberry stitching. There are additional trim pieces and a black piano finish. Only 175 samples of the XKR 175 would be made and the MRP would be $104,500 to be available from later part of this year.
