Hennessey Venom GT will make it to SEMA

The SEMA event would be having the Hennessey Venom GT adding its beauty and elegance to the show and giving the Ford Fiestas a run for their money at the show. This Venom GT model would have a Lotus body and be powered with a LS9.

The uniqueness of this car comes from the fact that it has a huge motor stuffed into a very small car body. The car has been released and seen at in the UK and UAE. However the cars are now going to make their presence in the US market albeit after a bit of tweaking and tuning which it undergoing prior to the SEMA event.

The engine that powers the Venom GT is a twin turbocharged Chevrolet LS-series aluminum V8. The engine delivers 1,200 hp of peak power and 1,135 lb ft torque. The engine is mated to the axle by a 6-speed Ricardo manual transaxle. The body of the car is made of lightweight carbon fiber while for rolling the car, it comes equipped with carbon fiber wheels all of which helps the car to attain a top speed of 200 mph. the ten units of the car that are being built would each come at a price of $850,000.
