2011 BMW Z4 for North America from Japanese tuner 3D Design

Over the years Japan has been witness to quite a good number of natural disasters. While scientists predicted an earthquake that would have hit soon enough, they failed to predict the monster 8.9 magnitude earthquake which in turn led to the massive tsunami that left a trail of destruction in its wake. The footage that the world saw were terrible enough to see and much more so for the people who had to live through it. While Japanese companies are still struggling to get back their equilibrium, 3D Design is out on a mission to prove that Japan will not just be a mute spectator to the negative happenings around themselves but they will make positive things happen for themselves. This is the inspiration behind 3D Design, along with a few other Japanese and US tuning firms behind the creation of the BMW Z4 tuning package that highlighting their hope and determination.

The BMW Z4 by 3D Design has been made possible by a number of players who played a part in designing different aspects of the vehicle. The overall theme was designed by WSTO and IND while the 18 inch wheels that came from BBS was inspired by BMW’s M3 GT4 program. The wheels are wrapped around Yokohama tires of size 235/40/18 at the front and 255/35/18 at the rear. The vehicle’s exterior is designed by 3D Design’s own aggressive, full carbon fiber aerodynamic package.

The inside stuff of the vehicle also got a lot of change with an upgraded turbo kit from ESS, a KW variant suspension system, and a hand built exhaust system from Eisenmann. Among the other features the car will come loaded with include a Dinan camber plate, an upgraded brake package from Brembo, and a gauge package from Stack.

The most inspirational feature of the vehicle is inscribed on the passenger side of the BMW Z4: “Don’t give up, Tohoku.” It is evident that no one is about to give up. In fact, that’s a clear sign of coming back stronger than ever before.
