Lincoln MKZ Concept

Ford released the Lincoln MKZ Concept at the Denver Motor Show from last week. According to Derick Kuzak, Ford global product: “With the Lincoln MKZ Concept, we are not introducing a new car. We are essentially introducing a new brand”.

As in most four door sedans designed these days, the MKZ features a long coupe-like roofline. The roofline gives the MKZ a more flowing look, Derick Kuzak says.

Lincoln MKZ simple luxury has a sort off delicate look. Multiple styles, like aggressiveness, power and elegance have been combined in order to obtain this design. The inside is champagne-colored and has a simple, yet modern look. The number of seats is limited to 4 with a full-length center console that features an 8-inch LCD touch screen. There is also a 10.1 –inch TFT LCD that provides information about the car.

Thus far, Ford hasn’t released any information on price, release date, power consumption or powertrain configuration. It is expected, though, that the Lincoln MKZ will have at least a four-cylinder option, and a V6 isn’t out of the question either. The American car is likely to come in a hybrid version as well.

Judging by the information available, this might be a good car for a family, or someone that wants to have a luxurious, powerful car at a reasonable cost price.
