2014 Cadillac ELR premature image released

by David Bond

Cadillac has made public the second premature image of the 2014 ELR.

The production model will be a sporty two-door coupe that has a “dramatic design with industry-leading extended range.
“Chief engineer Chris Thomason also revealed the model will have unique features which will “change the way people think about luxury and electrification.”

Specifications are not known yet, but Cadillac had announced that the car will have an electric motor, a lithium-ion battery and a four-cylinder engine-generator. It will operate mainly on electricity but can use the four-cylinder engine to boost its range when the battery is low.

The Cadillac ELR will go into serial production later in 2013 and it will be a wait and watch policy for most of us because everything is likely to released at the time of the launch.

In the meantime enjoy browsing the pictures.
