Peugeot had earlier revealed the 208 T16 Pikes Peak and now they have revealed the technical specifications of the model.
The Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak comes fitted with a V6 3.2-liter twin-turbo engine capable of producing 875 bhp (652 kW) transferred to all four wheels through a 6-speed sequential gearbox with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The powerful engine helps the car to accelerate to 62 mph (100 kmph) in just 1.8 seconds, 4.8 seconds until 124 mph (200 kmph) and 7 seconds to get to 149 mph (240 kmph).
The car has a tubular steel frame with a carbon bodywork and front and rear anti-roll bars. The suspension system consists of double wishbones and pushrod/rocker arm actuation for all four corners. The braking system has hydraulic double-circuit brakes with one-piece light-alloy calipers and vented carbon discs of 380 mm in front and 355 mm in rear.
It rides on custom 18×13 magnesium alloy wheels derived from F1 technology and are wrapped with Michelin 31/71×18 tires. Other features of the car include hydraulic power steering, pressurized dampers and torsion bars.
The weight of the car is 875 kg (1,929 lbs) and has the dimensions of 4500 mm in length, 2000 mm width, height of 1300 mm and a wheelbase of 2695 mm. Overhangs stand at 1690 mm front/rear, while the Peugeot 908-based rear wing measures 2000 mm. The car’s fuel tank has a 40-liter capacity.
