One of the most awaited models of the year, BMW M235i, has been spied nearly undisguised during a photoshoot.
The BMW M235i will be the spiritual successor to the 1-Series M Coupe and has an evolutionary design which clearly resembles its predecessor. We can clearly see that the new model hardly have anything in common with the 1-Series. The key styling changes consist of new bumpers, a revised grille and unique headlights.
While it appears that the exterior is exclusive to the 2-Series, the interior seems to be heavily influenced by the 1-Series hatchback. This means the M235i will likely be equipped with Hexagon/Alcantara cloth upholstery, a sport steering wheel and Aluminum Hexagon trim with Estoril Blue or high-gloss black accents.
The M235i is expected to have the same engine as the M135i which will be a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that would generate 320 HP (235 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. The hatchback accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) in just 4.9 seconds and we can expect the coupe to be a little faster.
The BMW M235i is expected to go into production in November this year and so we expect an official unveiling just around the corner.
