Ford Fiesta ST rallycross race car tears up Detroit

Ford has recently released a new promotional video that shows the OlsbersMSE Fiesta ST rallycross race car prowling around Detroit.

Basically designed to convince ESPN that the Motor City should host the 2014 Summer X Games, the clip shows Andreas Eriksson driving the car around notable landmarks including Campus Martius Park, Belle Isle and the Michigan Central Station.

Even if Detroit loses out to another city, Ford said that the combination of professional driver, closed roads and a Ford Fiesta ST rallycross race car on a random Saturday proved to be an epic day.

Just to recollect, the Fiesta ST rallycross has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 550 HP (404 kW). It sends power through an OlsbergsMSE transmission and a four-wheel drive system which enables the model to accelerate from 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) in just 2 seconds.
