Skoda has recently unveiled a “StylePLUS” version of its affordable Rapid with quite a few cosmetic changes.
Based on the Ambition trim, the latest model comes with features such as glossy black finish touches on the boot lid rear spoiler, exterior mirror covers, bars on the front bumper and doors, optional xenon headlights and front fog lights with cornering function. It sits on two-tone black & silver 17-inch Ray alloy wheels and comes with paint schemes: Denim Blue, Corrida Red, Sprint Yellow and Candy White.
In terms of the interiors, the cabin gets features such as stainless steel pedals, new seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and a piano lacquer finish matching the piano black dashboard inserts. Other features that can be seen are handbrake and gear stick are also covered in leather, while the standard radio/CD player can be replaced with an optional Amundsen+ satellite navigation system with DAB radio support.
Under the hood, power would be provided by a modest 1.2 MPI engine producing 73 hp (55 kW), a 1.2 TSI rated at 84 hp (63 kW) or 103 hp (77 kW), along with a 1.4 TSI generating 120 hp (90 kW). On the diesel side, the 1.6 TDI generates as output of 88 hp (66 kW) or 103 hp (77 kW).
