The pricing of the Megane Renaultsport Red Bull Racing RB8 has been announced for the UK markets. The model would come with a starting price of 28,245 GBP and only 30 units are expected to be available.
Built to celebrate Red Bull’s victory in the 2012 Formula 1 Constructors’ championship, the limited-run Megane would feature a bespoke Twilight Blue paint scheme adorned by Red Bull Racing graphics on the sides and rear, platinum details for the door handles, rear lip spoiler, door mirror housings and F1 blade, while on the back side windows there’s a monochrome laurel celebrating Red Bull’s success.
In terms of interior, the cabin has been fitted with come cool features such as Recaro front seats, typical Red Bull Racing branding on the carpet mats, aluminum kickplates and headrests, seven-inch R-Link multimedia tablet with Renaultsport Monitor 2.0 featuring a more user-friendly interface, GPS-tracked lap timing, 0-62 mph times, G-force diagram, power output data, among the few.
Under the hood, there is a 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine that generates 265 hp (197 kW) with other enhancements taken from the Megane Renaultsport 265 Cup, such as the limited-slip differential, stiffer springs and dampers, together with an anti-roll bar and Brembo calipers with grooved discs.
