Alfa Romeo’s U.S. launch has been delayed yet again which is a big setback for the company though it has been happening quite frequently off lately.

In a recent statement by Chrysler spokesman Rick Deneau he stated that the Alfa Romeo 4C will be most likely be launched in the second quarter of 2014. This means that there is a delay of quite a few month as earlier it was promised of late 2013 launch.

In related news, one of the reports has stated that Alfa Romeo’s Davide Kluzer has confirmed that the 4C will come with a base price of USD 54,000 in the United States. At this price, it makes 4C more expensive than the Porsche Cayman but the good thing is that it is significantly cheaper as compared to the Lotus Evora.

Just to recap, the Alfa Romeo 4C comes fitted with a turbocharged 1.75-liter four-cylinder engine which generates 240 HP (177 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. It is well connected to a dual-clutch transmission that enables the 895 kg (1973 lb) sports car to achieve the 0-100 kmph (0-62 mph) sprint in 4.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of 258 kmph (160 mph).
