2015 Mercedes-Benz SLC spied with different camo showing a smaller body

by SpeedLux

The Mercedes-Benz SLC has been caught on camera with a different type of camouflage which gives away the car’s smaller proportions.

Just a week ago Mercedes-Benz launched the SLS AMG GT Final Edition and now we have come across a fresh batch of spy photos with its replacement. It won’t be a direct successor since the SLC will have a significantly smaller size and will compete with the Porsche 911.

The prototype was spotted wearing a new black and white camouflage and appears to be more compact than the outgoing SLS. There are reports that indicate that it will be 4500mm long which would make it 140mm shorter than the SLS, while width and height will be very similar. These spy images show the electronically-controlled rear spoiler derived from the SLS which will be deployed automatically at speeds in excess of 75 mph (121 kmph).

Talking about performance, the car will probably be available with more than one engine and we can expect to see at least a newly developed V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine with output of 493 hp (327 kW) that will also find its way under the hood of the next-gen C63 AMG.

The Mercedes-Benz SLC will reportedly be revealed in July next year.
