Ferrari test driver Raffaele De Simone was recently asked to do an on-board video with the 458 Speciale at Fiorano circuit.
The latest product from Maranello comes equipped with Ferrari’s most powerful V8 engine ever and we were fortunate enough to hearing its sound a couple of months ago at the Fiorano track. Now the car is back in an on-board video with the firm’s test driver Raffaele De Simone who also provides quite a bit of details about the hotter 458.
Debuted at IAA in Frankfurt this year, the vehicle weighs 1,290 kg (2,843 lbs) and comes equipped with a 4.5-liter V8 engine generating an output of 605 HP (445 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. It will be able to achieve the 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) sprint in time of 3 seconds while 0-124 mph (0-200 kmph) will be done in just 9.1 seconds. It is 1.5 seconds quicker around the Fiorano track as compared to the 458 Italia as it can complete the lap in time of 1 minute and 23.5 seconds.
