Italian coach builder Zagato and Lamborghini go way back to 1965, when the Milanese brand conceived two exemplars of the Lamborghini 3500 GTZ on the mechanical basis of the 350 GT.
Then years later Zagato unveiled a Raptor, based on the Diablo at the 1996 Geneva Motor show.
Now in 2014, the small Italian company is celebrating their 95th anniversary with a one-off Lamborghini 5-95: a collectible car that was commissioned by Albert Spiess, one of the most significant Lamborghini worldwide collector.
Based on the Gallardo LP 570-4, the one-off Lamborghini 5-95 has a very unique bodywork, staying true to the Zagato styling language showing us their signature double bubble roof. The air intakes are still big, but not as aggressive as on production Lamborghinis, while the rear end starts from the center of the car, giving it a thrust. The tail lights are round, giving it a sort of classic look.
The side intakes have been visually reduced to the minimum thanks to an air scoop on the roof as well as additional apertures concealed in the glass surfaces.
The Gallardo’s 5.2-liter V10 with 570 horsepower is reportedly left stock, but the exhaust seems to be changed, packing a very nice soundtrack.
