Some more details have been revealed about the Supra successor of Toyota and BMW. It is said the car will be equipped with a 4-cylinder direct-injection 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline.

The car would pack an AWD arrangement and power is believed to be sent through a new dual-clutch automated manual transmission.

It is alleged BMW will be providing the engine of the car and gearbox will be supplied by the Bavarians. Toyota’s supercapacitor technology will be clubbed together with the engine in reinventing the Supra that will be capable of offering combined output of 354 PS.

Earlier it was believed the new car would come with a rear-wheel drive layout, but now it is revealed to have an AWD arrangement.

Supra successor is co-developed by Toyota and BMW and is expected to hit the roads within next three years.
