APS tunes V10 Audi RS6 giving it 700 horsepower

by Sebastian Bivin

The Audi RS6 sports a twin-turbocharged V10 powerplant that gives out 572 horsepower and about 479 pound feet of torque. Now these figures are far from being bad but APS tuning house recently released upgrade packages for the Avant and sedan variants of the RS6.

APS, which brings the Swiss brand Sportec to the United Kingdom, did a remapping of the ECU for the first stage of the tuning process which boosts the power of the RS6 to 650 horsepower at around 6300 rpm paired with an excellent torque of 540 pound feet between 2,500 and 4,000 rpm. Utilizing this upgrade, the Audi RS6 is able to achieve 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds while the top speed is pegged at 305 km/h. The Stage 1 upgrade will cost the owner about $4,262.

If the Stage 1 upgrade from APS Sportec is still not enough for you, you can go for the Stage 2 conversion. This stage will include reprogramming of the ECU, fuel performance optimization, tweaking of the boost and ignition parameters, and sports catalysts fitment that will be emission compliant.

The Stage 2 will give you the whopping 700 horsepower at about 6200 rpm from the engine and an impressive torque of 584 pound feet at 3,000 to 6,200 rpm. These numbers translates to 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/hr or just the same as stage 1. This upgrade will cost you about $4,850.
APS will soon launch other RS6 enhancements like suspension packages, braking kits, and alloy rims.
