Aston Martin will return to Formula 1 after more than half a century’s non existence in a deal with Red Bull Racing.
The pair will team up on the vehicle for next year’s season, while also dealing with a “hypercar” for roadway use to be unveiled in the next 2 months, as per Peter Campbell, Motor Industry Reporter.
As object of the deal Aston’s marque, which has been missing from the sport since the year 1960, will also appear on the RB12 car from the Australian GP onward.
“Formula 1 provides the ultimate worldwide phase to construct wider awareness of the Aston Martin brand,” stated Aston Martin chief Andy Palmer.
As segment of the deal, Red Bull’s design chief Adrian Newey will team up with Aston’s chief innovative officer Marek Reichman to produce a “ground breaking” new automobile.
Mr Palmer said the car would go on sale in 2018, and would be revealed in simply 2 months’ time. Just 100 units will be created.
