Man released without charge after car crash

Gardaí have actually released a male without any charges. He was arrested in relation to a fatal automobile crash in County Meath, Ireland.

A file will be made for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Jillian Thornton aged 20, of Halpin’s Terrace, Drogheda, Co Louth, died when the automobile she was taking a trip in crashed into a second automobile.

She was a back seat traveler in the Mitsubishi Colt automobile, which hit a Volkswagen Passat on the N2 near Duleek on Friday night.

Ms Thornton’s funeral will take place on Thursday early morning.
