A teen in a Pittsburgh area hospitalized on Wednesday, after being struck by a vehicle while playing the mobile game, Pokémon Go.
Autumn Deiseroth, 15, was hit Tuesday while crossing a busy road on her way house after capturing a Pokémon near a museum in Tarentum, as per regional CBS station KDKA. She stated she had looked both methods prior to crossing the street and wasn’t looking at her phone when she was hit.
“The Pokémon game took her throughout a significant highway at 5 o’clock at night, which is heavy traffic,” her mother, Tracy Nolan, stated in an interview with regional Channel 11 News. “Parents, do not let your kids play this game since you don’t wish to go through what I went through last night. I actually believed I was losing my child.”
Deiseroth suffered bruising and small injuries and was expected to leave the medical center on Wednesday, KDKA reported. She has also erased the game from her phone.
