AC Schnitzer pimps 5-Series Gran Turismo from BMW

by Ionut Dragomir

The new BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo did not receive the flatteries from the media and from BMW fans themselves. German tuning company AC Schnitzer plans to pimp out the car and change its overall image.

AC Schnitzer will be releasing a sport package that will include kits to improve the Bavarian carmaker’s crossover and all the mechanical goodies to boost things up.
The tuning company includes in the styling kit of this luxury baby some front and rear apron, air vents on the bonnet, side skirts, tail light trimmings, chrome finished tail pipes, lid spoiler, and allow wheels ranging from 19 to 22 inches.
The interiors get the cover of the i-Drive controller from AC Schnizter, customized floor mats, and a set of aluminum pedals and footrest.

At the moment AC Schnitzer only offers a performance upgrade kit for the 530d. The stock 3.0L turbo diesel engine will get a 41 horsepower bump up from 241hp to 286hp. This tuning kit comes with a new spring sports kit and new cover for the engine.
