Geneva 2010: Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera

by Ionut Dragomir

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera is the new top model in the Gallardo line-up. It is 70 kg(154 lbs) lighter than the Gallardo LP 560-4, weighing 1340 kilograms (2954 lb) making it the lightest road-going model in Lamborghini’s range. Such light weight is possible thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber exterior and interior components.

5.2-liter V10 produces 570 horsepower, taking it from 0-100 km/h on 3.4 seconds, 0-200 km/h (124 mph) comes in 10.2 seconds and the top speed is 325 km/h (202 mph).

Exterior modifications include new front bumper with larger air intakes, LED’s, new sill elements, and a redesigned diffuser incorporating four large tailpipes. Small rear spoiler is standard and a bigger one is available as an option.

Even though it is the lightest Lambo, it still comes with such features like air conditioning and electric powered windows.

The Gallardo Superleggera rides on 19-inch light alloys wrapped with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. Public debut of this new top of the range Gallardo is this week at the Geneva Motor Show.
