Acura NSX Hybrid Concept 2012

by Laly

At the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, the Acura NSX concept was unveiled.
A great looking supercar, using a hybrid V6 power-train which will be engineered and built in the United States of American in the nearby future.
It’s a hybrid sports car, with an estimated 400 horsepower from a 3.5 liter V6 engine with a hybrid system making it a high-performance car.

The power-train utilizes two independent electric motors turning the front wheels combined with a direct-injected, mid-mounted V6 VTEC engine with dual clutch transmission generating positive or negative torque as needed to the front wheels during cornering.
It is aggressive, good looking, close to ground with sharp angles and a low-profile swept-back resembling a supercar.
But beauty isn’t all at this Acura NSX, safety is another asset that makes it a wanted car. The supplemental restraint system includes aluminum-framed seats which help keep passengers safety in place, dual air bags that deploy in a frontal impact, 3 point seat belts that come with a pre-tensioning system holding each passenger securely in the seat in case of impact.

The instrument cluster on the dashboard has large gauges which convey performance data. Other features that Acura NSX provides are the Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control System, the Programmed Fuel Injection making this car more than a luxury car but a luxury super-sports car.
