An electrical motorcycle developed from tiny aluminum alloy particles utilizing a 3D printer.

On Friday, European aeronautics gigantic Airbus revealed the ‘Light Rider’ in Germany. Made by its subsidiary APWorks, a specialist in additive layer production, the motorbike utilizes hollow frame parts which contain the cables and pipelines.

The frame weighs only 13 pounds, about 30 percent lower than traditional e-motorbikes.

APWorks chief executive Joachim Zettler stated the complex, branched hollow structure would not have been possible with traditional production technologies such as milling or welding.
