The all new 2011 Mercedes E63 AMG

by Alex

As per news coming out from the Mercedes stable, the E63 AMG sports sedan that Mercedes has lined up for a 2011 launch has been incorporated with a few changes so as to enhance its quality even further. And along with the higher quality attachments that would be installed on the model, the price of the car too would go up to 105,791 euros for the sedan version and 108,409 euros for the station wagon version for sales in Germany.

Under the hood, there will be a 6.3 liter V8 engine mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed transmission system that has been transgressed from the SL 63 AMG. The car will be good enough for a peak power output of 525 hp and a max torque figure of 630 Nm. All of these will translate to a quite respectable acceleration figures of 4.5 seconds for the 0 to 60 mph dash and a top speed of 155 mph. However, on the flip side, there is a decrease in fuel efficiency by about 12 percent on the new E63, which is attributed to the fuel and generator system which works on demand delivery technology as well as brake energy recuperation technology. There is no torque eliminator also for “wet start-up clutch running in an oil bath” which has further contributed to a downgrade for the fuel efficiency figures.

The interior is attractively done up. The leather fittings done inside and the covering of the lower section of the dashboard, the glove compartment lid, the door linings including map pockets and the side upholstery of the center console, all has been done up with exclusive nappa leather.
