by Zack Colt

Germans have never fallen behind when it comes to automobiles, and with powerhouses such as Mercedes Benz and Audi, the cars that are manufactured in Germany are sure to be a huge success amongst many people.

The Audi A8 has long been a flagship model of the Audi automobile manufacturers, and the car is extremely popular amongst many people. It was initially released in 1994 and featured the trademark that came with all Audis, the Quattro permanent four wheel drive standard option. Since then, the model has been going transitions all along and has become a popular hit amongst the major crowd. Upon it initial release; the Audi A8 was available in multitronic, or tiptronic automatic transmissions.

The car has undergone heavy changes since then and has seen a line of new models being developed. The distinctive feature about the Audi A8 was that it was the first car to be ever developed completely on an aluminum platform, making it extremely light weight and hence resulting in an increase in the car’s overall speeds. The newer releases of the Audi A8 have seen the car increase its total horse power and generate higher rpm as compared to the previous editions of the car.

However, the surprising news was that a year before it was came in to hearing that a new variant of the Audi A8 would be released, known as the Audi A8 Hybrid. This would be a fuel efficient car that would also cut down heavily on the exhaustion of dangerous gases in the atmosphere. The car is set for release in 2010, and it is going to be the same version as the Audi A8 2010, with the only difference being the inclusion of an electric motor and the change in the engine as well as the horse power.
