One of the most luxurious automotive brands from the Great Britain, Rolls-Royce, has just released yet another very exciting variant of its vehicle lineups. This time, the company introduces a special edition of the Rolls-Royce Phantom. Dubbed the Rolls-Royce Maharaja Phantom Drophead Coupe, the car was recently featured on the Femina Middle East fashion magazine with Indian style photo shots.
Speaking of this particular top down version of the Rolls-Royce Phantom, the car is actually being made available only to customers in Dubai. However, ironically enough, the model is actually meant to celebrate the culture of India. As a matter of fact, the vehicle even comes with emblems depicting the peacock birds – which happen to be India’s national bird – and also the Emerald Green coachlines.
In addition to those elements, this limited edition Rolls-Royce Phantom comes painted in the Carrara White hue. Meanwhile, its soft top is painted in the dark green hue. Stepping into the cabin of the vehicle, owners of the car will get to enjoy headrests that have been specially embroidered by the British automaker, leather trim in the Crème Light hue and more Peacock emblems.
As it turned out, the British automaker is offering this special edition Phantom in order to celebrate one of the most important milestones in Rolls-Royce’s history. A hundred years earlier, for five decades, the Maharajas and Princes of India spent their money on more than 840 Rolls-Royce bespoke models. In fact, the relationship between the British automaker and those Maharajas and Princes of India is dubbed as the one of the longest relationships between the government and an automaker in the history of the world.
Unfortunately, customers outside Dubai, even those in India, will not be able to purchase this special edition model, it seems. As the general manager of the local Rolls-Royce dealership in Dubai points out, the bespoke Rolls-Royce Maharaja Phantom Drophead Coupe is a model that has a very strong importance reflection in Dubai and it is only the customers in this market that will have the privilege to lay their hands on the special edition Phantom.
