Bentley not to accept new orders for the Mulsanne until 2012!

by Alex

This should come as a shocker for those who have been waiting to lay their hands on the all new 2011 Bentley Mulsanne – the model has been sold out till 2012. The British manufacturer revealed their order books are full now and won’t accept fresh orders until they are able to clear the present lot of about 800 cars that they have bookings for. And going by the present rate at which they are built, delivering all the 800 cars is likely to take up the better part of 2012.

Producing the Bentleys is a painstaking process and a lot of things goes into the making of these premium luxury sedans. Workers toil hard to prepare the cars and its something that requires a lot of attention just to make sure the final production vehicle is of top notch quality. Just the paint job on the car itself can stretch for around 86 hours. At the present rate, Bentley will be able to churn only about 200 of the Mulsanne this year though the figure might see a jump next year as the company is considering jacking up capacity to meet the increased demand for the Mulsanne.
