Buick Grand National & GNX to make a comeback

by SpeedLux

Buick has had traveled a long journey for the past few years and there are reports which indicate that the brand is going to revitalize their performance ambitions by bringing back the Grand National and GNX.

A popular magazine opines that the sedans will be launched in 2015 and will run on the Alpha rear-wheel drive that currently corresponds the Cadillac ATS. Interestingly the Grand National is likely to be offered with a range of ATS-sourced engines including a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 272 bhp (203 kW) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque as well as a 3.6-liter V6 that gives out 321 bhp (239 kW) and 274 lb-ft (371 Nm) of torque.

The GNX, on the other hand, would be available only in black and will be available with a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 that churns out nearly 400 bhp (298 kW). Automatic and manual transmissions are likely as well as a possible all-wheel drive system.
