Callaway unveils the Corvette Aerowagen Shooting Brake, coming by the end of 2016

by SpeedLux

Owners of Corvette will have the ability to have their C7 converted into a Shooting Brake after model firm Callaway Cars Inc. just recently unveiled the Aerowagen plan.

Solely offered for Corvette coupe designs from Callaway or Chevrolet, the Aerowagen Package consist of a one-piece carbon fiber roofing system that utilizes the original parts for the rear hatch. It maintains the original function of the rear door which enables drivers to store cargo at the back.

Using the original parts also implied that owners can also revert back to the original coupe appearance if they wish to. Optional body paint color will also be available to match trim alternatives.

The interior decoration of the Corvette Aerowagen will continue to be the same though Callaway expects it will have a slightly larger cargo capacity and better drag coefficient. The targa top has likewise been kept due to using OEM seals, hinge and latch systems.

Specific technical specs of the Callaway Corvette Aerowagen will be launched soon.

The conversion kit for the C7 Corvette is going to be readily available by Q4 of 2016 and orders are currently open.
